As part of a year-long campaign by the Bay Area Host Committee (BAHC) and the College Football Playoff Foundation's Extra Yard for Teachers (EYFT) program, which will ultimately provide $1 million in direct support to Bay Area educators, the CFP Foundation and BAHC are making a $150,000 contribution toward giveaways to help educators cover home purchase costs. In addition to the 3 educators who won last fall, 2 more public school teachers and/or staff members will each receive $25,000 that they can pair with Landed down payment support, other existing down payment programs, and/or their own financial contributions to help them own homes in the following eligible San Francisco Bay Area counties: San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Alameda, Santa Cruz, Marin, Monterey, and Contra Costa, where median home prices rank among the highest in the country. The purpose of these giveaways is to inspire and empower educators by making homeownership more accessible.

BAHC and the CFP Foundation recognize how challenging becoming a homeowner can be, even with access to innovative down payment assistance, community programs, and giveaways such as this one. No purchase necessary.
